Also known as the Bald Cypress
It is an ancient tree. Observing it is like stepping back into prehistory. It is a conifer, yet in autumn it sheds its leaves like a broadleaf tree (hence the name Bald). The leaves are soft, light needles arranged in a comb-like pattern, a pale, bright shade in spring, and in autumn they turn brick red, bronze, and rust. But its true technical signature is its roots. If planted in dry, very moist soil, or directly in water, the tree develops woody protuberances that emerge from the soil or water. These organs serve to bring oxygen to the submerged roots, creating a fairy-tale effect. Being a tree that is very rarely attacked by pests and resistant to strong winds, it requires no maintenance. In a garden area where humidity or water stagnates, the Bald Cypress will not only survive but thrive, turning a technical problem into an aesthetic highlight.
